Stated Communication, September 1st:
Welcome to the start of a new and exciting year in Kennewick Masonic Lodge.
Our first regularly stated communication of the new year will be on Wednesday,
September 1st.
WB Mike Priddy has an excellent program scheduled for the evening and we have
some important business to conduct, including the election for Secretary.
WB Mike has directed that dress for this meeting be business casual (coats and
ties not required) due to the warmer temperatures.
We look forward to see you there.
This is an interesting video about the recent discovery in Boston of a set of Masonic Officer's Jewels made by Paul Revere. The video is part of a news cast on WCVB-TV in Boston. There is a short advertisement at the beginning. |

Summer Update from the Master,
"Brethren,
Just thought I'd let you know what has been going on this summer since installation.
The officers have been practicing the opening and closing rituals in preparation for September. I can't tell you how proud I am of the work these Brothers have done. We are already at the point where we know the ritual and the floor work pretty well, and now we are working on polishing! Tonight was only our second practice and Brothers Lawson and Husted tried stepping up and they did a great job! VWB Gene Spaulding, VWB Bill Dodd and WB Iman Wintz have been there giving us some good advice and support. Its a nice mixing of Lodge traditions and new energy!
Also six of us are working on our Proficiency in Lodge Management program before each practice. This is an investment in the Lodge's future, as nothing serves a Lodge as well as properly prepared officers!
We have sent letters to the three men we approved to receive the degrees of Masonry, informing them of their acceptance and that they will receive the EA degree early this fall.
WB Ray organized a very nice funeral service for Brother Collins, who passed away in early July. WB JF Moore, WB Steve Williams, WB Ray Shulz and myself participated, with Brother Wes Door's assistance. Thanks for organizing that WB Ray! Its the last service we can do for a Brother, and this was well done!
WB Dan Dickey has been working on the Bikes program and the raffle has brought in about $400.00, so far. Don't forget to buy your tickets.
We have drafted a document for new EAs that lists all traditions and Lodge etiquettes they will need to know to be comfortable in Lodge.
We still need a Tyler. If anyone is interested please let me know.
Well that's it for now. I'll keep you posted on new developments.
WB Mike Priddy "
